quick cards with monoprints

Today I made some quick cards cards with a couple of the papers I monoprinted with the Geli Plate that you seen in my previous blog post.

I cut some of the prints a quarter of an inch smaller than the card bases. I used my ATG gun to attach the paper to the bases.

I have the posh: Coloring 2016 Day by day calendar by Thaneeya McArdle. I took some of the previous days and colored the, then cut them and added them to the cards with Miracle tape. They are blank inside. Coloring was the only thing that took some time in doing. :)

Banksy+Neon=Fun!

So yesterday I showed you the prints I did with my Geli plate. Today I show a journal page  did with one of them. And I'm going to enter this in the Andy Skinner monthly challenge.  The theme is bright and you can't get any brighter than Neon!

I took the print and cut it to the size of my journal. I used Elmer's school glue to glue it down to one of the pages of the journal. I poured a little bit of 3 of  the American neon craft paints. Electric Blue Screeching Yellow and Thermal green. I took the Andy Skinner's Old film 12x3 stencil and sponged the Electric Blue. I then took the Thermal Green with the Snakes Web 6x6 stencil. And finally I used the Screeching Yellow with the Alphabet Spaghetti 8x8 stencil.

I then stamped with Black Onyx Versafine ink pad Banksy Rain under umbrella girl. I had to stamp her twice on the page.I was very careful stamping her again over the first stamp image. I then stamped Banksy girl floating with Balloons. I then took 3 sentiments stamps from VLVS! (Banksy stamps are also VLVS!) and stamped those on the page

Geli printing.

I got another box of goodies from DecoArt yesterday. I ordered the stuff on Valentines day with saying what I wanted to do. Got it approved the next day and got it on Monday. And today I played!

I did some mono printing with my Geli plate this moring. I used some of the Americana Neon paints and their regular craft paints. I don't remember all the paint colors I used. But I know I used the Lamp Black and the Snow white.

This was the brick stencil from Americana and the paints were the Electric Blue(one of the neons), Snow white and a little bit got the Lamp Black.

This is one of my favorites. This globe I cut from my Cameo. the other stencil I used wa AtoZ by Americana. Colors I used were scorching yellow(another neon), Lamp Black and  Citron green.

This one again I used the lamp black, lemon yellow, and sizzling red (neon) the red was a bottom layer. I used the Honeywire stencil. and I also used a silicon hot pad for texture.

This one I used Andy Skinner's Alphabet confetti 8x8 stencil and a stencil i cut on my Cameo. Colors Bahama blue and Dragon Fruit

This one is another one of my favorites. I used the dangle stencil, and the brick stencil I used Snow White, bubble gum pink and Electric Blue.

Tune in tomorrow to see what I did with one of the prints!

Mixed Media Morsels 8

This morsel was a fun one to do. It was houses

I first glued down some papers on to the page. then gessoed the page. I then painted the sky and grass with craft paint. the clouds are from The Crafter's Workshop. The house is a scraps from a color book pages I. then to finish the scene I stamped some images from Viva Las VegaStamps!

Mixed Media Morsels 6 and 7

Morsel 6 was inchies. I used mono prints that i made with my Geli Plate and a piece of paper that I used my brayer on the left over paint after putting it on the plate. Since the papers were dark I didn't stamp or draw on the inchies. I used stickers, magazine images, and other little things that were by me in the squares.

Morsel 7 was circles. I painted the paper with blue and purple craft paints. Then with a pallet knife I put some cream craft paint. I took some mark makers of round things. some were empty washi tape rolls, glue stick lid. the big one is from a canning jar.I used black craft paint. I found the magazine image that I put wings that I never put on an ATC. Then some words I cut out of magazines.

Coffee tag for Secret Sister

I hosted a Secret Sister swap that is still going on. Packages are getting mailed out. This time I participated.  My secret Sister got her package last week and showed it today. So I can no blog about the tag I made her.

I started with a Prima tag. I worked on the background a lot. Not liking what was hapening. I set the tag aside and was working another tag. I liked what I did on that tag, So I did it to this tag. I painted the whole tag black. Once dried I painted  part of the tag purple. I then put the chunky circle over the wet pant. I took a baby wipe and wiped the paint off. I then did the other part of the tag. It was too dark so I added some white through a punchenilla. The hexagon Chipboard piece is from UmWowStudio. I just painted it purle. I used Wood glue to stick it on the tag. I cut the extra piece that were sticking out and glued them on the tag.

The Julie Nutting girl I stamped on book text and use the Prima light skin tone markers Her hair is Neo color 2's. The water brush had some pearlesent water colors still on the brush, so her hair is sparkly. lol. I used scraps to dress her. The Frapp is a Silhouette cut. And the sentiment is from VLVS! I used black seam biding for the top.

Febuary VLVS! Challenge

Its time for another monthly inspiration board challenge over on the Viva Las VegaStamps! blog. okay the challenge started 13 days ago, and I did this tag about a week ago. But I'm finally blogging about it.  And I'm happy to announce that I won the October challenge! Woot!

For this months challenge I did a tag. The tag is watercolor paper from Prima. I used a layer of black craft paint over the whole tag. Then I used Dylusions crushed grape paint on part of the tag. While the paint was still wet I took the chunky circle stencil from UmWowStudio on the tag and took a baby wipe and took off the purple paint, leaving the black underneath, I did the same thing in the other half.

When that dried I used the Squiggle heart with a white pigment ink pad.  I also used some punchenllia with white paint lightly. My fried Dede had sent me some ide cuts she did on her Cameo way before I had won mine. I used one of the cut out she sent me and glued it on the tag.

On white cardsock with Black Versafine ink pad. I stamped the striped legs , whimsical woman in dress and butterfly wings (2). I colored the butterfly and  woman with pearlesent watercolors. I cut a bit of the dress of the woman and glued it to the stripped legs. Then cu and glued the wings to her back. attached her to the tag. I stamped the be true on scrap piece of cardstock,. and colored it with the pearlesent water color. and attached that on the tag. I used a scrap piece of lace that was on my desk and attached the top of the tag.

Color me positive Journal 52 week 6

for Color me Positive I used the quote prompt. "be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." I did another magazine collage. And  wrote the quote on a scrap piece of paper.

Mixed Media Morsels 4 and 5

Here are 2 more morsels from Cat Hand's Mixed media morsels youtube video series.

Morsel #4 was using wet glue to draw a design. letting it dry and then put paint on the page and then taking a wet wipe to try to wipe up where the paint is on the glue design. Sort of like a resit. I've done this before in my "Wreck this Journal book with different types of wt glues. It was fun.

Fr this page I used Elemer's school glue and a little bit of Aleen's tacky. After it dried over night I used a yellow and an orange craft paints.

Morsel #5 was tissue paper. This one I also done lots of times. Love tissue paper!

I took a piece of white tissue paper and crumpled it really good. Used Mod Podge to glue the tissue paper on the page. After I dried I used a couple Mister Huey sprays.  Below is a close up picture of all the fun texture.

Color me Positive Journal 52 week 5

Back to being all caught up with posts of journal 52 and color me positive.

For color me positive I used the quote for my prompt.

I used bubble gum pink by Dylusions for the base of the page. I then used a piece of lace as my stencils and used the Jade Dylusion spray with it. I used a magazine image and a chipboard crown from my stash. On a pice of scrap paper and wrote the quote " If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough."

Journal 52 prompt was monochromatic so of course I used pinks. :)

I did a layer of baby pink craft paint by Americana. then used a couple of stencils from UmWowStudio. he flower stencil I used a fushia paint. And the confetti circles I used the bubble gum pink Dylusion paint. I then used FW acrylic ink in process magenta and did some drips. I didn't know what to do after the backgroudn so it sat for a while. I saw some owls in a coloring book. colored 3 of them in shades of pinks. cut them out. I used the Pilot multiball pen and made a wire across the page to put my owls on.

Color me positive Journal 52 week 4

I know I'm a little late posting week 4. I got lazy and didn't transfer the pictures from my iPhone to my computer.

The prompt for color me positive I used their quote "Believe in yourself and magic will happen" I did a collage from magazine images.
I used my Dymo Labler for the quote. I glued on  gold and silver sequins. And some tiny starts and hearts chipboard from UmWowStudio.

For Journal 52 the prompt was moon. I was kinda stumped or that one. but I did come up something.

I glued down a paper towl that had a bunch of left over spray on it that I kept. I had colored the "Color Love" by Thaneeya McArdle coloring book. I cut the camper out. Then I looked for something I could use for the moon. I saw another image from Art Therapy doodle and dream color book. I cut out part of the circle. colored that and glued the "moon" and then the camper. I then used my dymo labler and typed out "dark Side of the moon" (I really wish I had the black tape still and not the red.).
